How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is looking for a Gold card Electrician on a permanent basis. The job is in Warwickshire but they are a Bedfordshire based company who work nationwide.
    You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical installations and testing works, ensuring compliance, safety, and exceptional standards throughout.
    Key responsibilities include:
    * Full electrical installations including containment, cabling, distribution boards, fixtures, and final terminations
    * Electrical testing, EICRs, fault finding, and remedial works
    * Leading projects onsite and supervising team members where required
    * Liaising effectively with other engineers, site managers, and clients
    * Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, to the highest standard and within budget
    * Completing all required certifications and documentation accurately
    * Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, RAMS, and manufacturer instructions
    * Maintaining clean and organised work sites with clear completion reporting
    This role involves nationwide travel and occasional working away from home (notice provided in advance).
    Essential Qualifications & Requirements
    * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or City & Guilds 2360 / 2330 (Part 1 & 2)
    * AM2
    * City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
    * City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing)
    * ECS Gold Card (Approved Electrician)
    * Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 3 points)
    * Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations & EWR 1989
    * Willingness to travel and work away when required
    Supervisory experience (5+ years) is desirable.
