This role begins on a 19‑week temporary basis, with a clear pathway into a secure, permanent position. The engineering team is known for its high standards, strong training culture, and the ability for technicians to comfortably earn £50,(Apply online only)+ once settled into the permanent structure.
Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll be maintaining and repairing a varied commercial fleet and supporting equipment. Day-to-day tasks include:
Diagnostics and fault-finding on commercial vehicles
Full servicing and repairs across the fleet
Hydraulics and pneumatics maintenance
Work on air brake systems (ABS / EBS)
Engine and driveline overhauls
Electrical wiring and system installs
MOT preparation and inspections
Preventative maintenance across all equipment
Pay Rates (Umbrella)
Grade 1:
Days: £26.83 p/h
Nights: £31.32 p/h
Grade 2:
Days: £25.96 p/h
Nights: £29.50 p/h

7am–7pm or 7pm–7am
