The Senior Mould Toolmaker is required to work a days based role and responsibilities will include repairing, maintaining and modifying tooling and equipment as required.
The Senior Mould Toolmaker will be joining a family orientated company where you will be well looked after for doing a good job and further developed in any areas of weakness.
Key Responsibilities will include:
*To carry out preventative maintenance according to the plan agreed, minimising machine down-time
*To record all actions taken on the tool history record, modifying the preventative maintenance plan as required and suggesting improvements to avoid recurrence
*To provide tools to Production in good condition prior to the planned start of production
*To maintain the tooling stores, working area and office in a tidy, organised and safe way and to clean all tools and equipment used following maintenance work
*To check all new tools arriving at the company, to ensure that they are ready for production and that no damage/problems are evident.
Ideally, candidates will have a formal tool making apprenticeship and or a mechanical engineering qualification (City and Guilds, BTEC or ONC/HNC).
