How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Client: Working throughout several sectors including commercial, residential, education, and data centres, the business has seen a significant amount of growth in the last 10 Years. With a traditional engineering mindset and reinvestment into new principals, the business expects 2026 to be a similar period of growth. After a successful year they are now looking to increase turnover to £75M, consequently they are looking to expand their operations team. Despite their size, my client are a family owned and run business, and this is a trait they pride themselves on with well over 80% of their clients using them on multiple occasions because of the nature of the business.

    I am currently working the behalf of their fast-paced fit out division specialising in projects ranging from £0.5m - £8m MEP value typically within the commercial office sector. They are seeking a Mechanical project Manager to work on projects in the heart of London.

    Role/Responsibilities:

    * Management of subcontractor labour

    * RFI’s and technical submittals

    * All health and safety

    * Review and amend RAMS

    * Design Review liaising with consultants, client and main contractor Snagging

    * Testing and commissioning

    * Driving job

    * Procurement

    * Leading the project from a commercial aspect

    * Chairing meetings internally and externally

    * Management of commissioning stages and project handover to the client

    * Tender review and validation

    The ideal candidate:

    * Will be familiar working in a fast pace environment

    * Experience managing projects to a minimum of £2m within your own discipline

    * A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role

    * The candidate will show longevity in previous employment
