LGV Class 1 Driver

A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd are a privately owned company and one of the largest convenience retailers in the UK, currently servicing circa. 1,000 Spar convenience stores and employing more than 5000 people with a turnover in excess of £1 billion.

We are currently looking to recruit experienced Class 1 Drivers at our Sittingbourne Outbase. We are offering:

•    £17.44 per hour, 
•    Additional shifts paid at £20.97 per hour
•    Early start allowance of £1.75 per hour before 6am

The job role includes:

•    Multi-drop – between 5 and 10 deliveries.
•    Roll cage deliveries of food to retailers and garage forecourts using refrigerated vehicles and tail-lifts
•    Collection of empty roll cages and store waste/returns.
•    Some hand-ball deliveries are required.
•    Majority of start times are between 0300 and 0600. 
•    6 day operation.
•    Shift Pattern – 4 days out of 6, Monday to Saturday.
