A leading global technology consultancy is looking for an experienced Application & Data Architect to join a high-profile Defence programme within a Joint Design Team.
This is a hands-on senior architecture role at the heart of a complex, secure delivery environment - shaping how applications are designed, assessed, and evolved across a significant enterprise estate.
The Role
You'll lead the design and technical assurance of secure-by-design application and data architectures, owning architectural decisions across software systems of varying scale and risk. Day-to-day you'll conduct application technical assessments, engage directly with delivery teams and senior stakeholders, and help drive long-term architectural direction while addressing immediate backlog priorities.
What You'll Need
Strong enterprise application architecture experience in secure or Defence environments
Hands-on knowledge of COTS/GOTS products, middleware, integration, and databases
Practical experience with CIS Benchmarks and secure application configuration
Familiarity with Defence Secure by Design principles
Proficiency in Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices
ArchiMate modelling; BizzDesign Enterprise Studio experience desirable
Excellent stakeholder communication skills up to senior/executive level
