We are currently looking for a Crane Maintenance Technician to join a thriving engineering and maintenance team in Gateshead.

The Role – Crane Maintenance Technician
As a Crane Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation, maintenance and reliability of cranes and lifting equipment across site.
Key responsibilities include:
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs on cranes and lifting equipment.
* Conducting statutory inspections, tests and maintaining accurate maintenance records in line with legislation.
* Managing maintenance schedules and providing updates to engineering teams.
* Collaborating with production teams and external contractors to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
About You
We are looking for a motivated Crane Maintenance Technician with:
* A time‑served engineering background (Mechanical or Maintenance), with relevant engineering qualifications.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
* Confidence working at height and a commitment to strict Health & Safety standards.
* Experience with crane maintenance or LEEA training (advantageous)
