Due to recent company growth, a UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy is seeking a qualified and experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join their team. You will be conducting asbestos surveys across commercial and domestic contracts across Scotland and the Central Belt. Our client is well-known within the industry and has a proven track record within the industry, so there is excellent scope for further progression. We are also able to consider candidates with dual experience (surveying and analytical). Locations of work include: Glasgow, Cambusland, Giffnock, Barrhead, East Kilbride, Bellshill, Blantyre, Airdrie, Lenzie, Cumbernauld, Wishaw, Larkhall, Motherwell, Lanark, Whitburn, Bathgate, Croy, Falkirk, Stirling, Renfew, Paisley, Johnstone, Beith, Clydebank, Dumbarton, Kilmarnock, Livingston, Currie, Edinburgh, Queensferry, Bo’ness, Linlighgow, Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy.
Experience / Qualifications:
* Proven experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS accredited company
* Will hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent
* For Surveyor / Analysts, they will also hold the BOHS P403 and P404 (or RSPH equivalents)
* Excellent technical knowledge, including: UKAS and HSG 264 guidelines
* Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
* Hardworking attitude
The Role:
* Undertaking demolition, refurbishment and management asbestos surveys on domestic and commercial sites
* Producing detailed survey reports
* Safely sampling for asbestos fibres from site
* Working in line with company travel needs
* Answering any technical queries from clients
* Wearing correct PPE whilst on site
* Maintaining strong working relationships with clients
