This Havering primary school are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to play a vital role in supporting children with a variety of needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
We are especially keen to hear from individuals with experience in:
* Speech and Language
* ADHD
* SEMH
* Autism
As a valued member of the teaching team, you will work closely with class teachers while also using your own initiative and skills to enhance learning and make a real difference for children.
What we are looking for
* Minimum 1 year’s experience supporting SEND children in the primary age range
* Experience working in a friendly, busy school environment
* Strong understanding of children with SEN needs
* Level 2 qualification in playwork/childcare (essential)
* Paediatric First Aid qualification (desirable)
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
* Empathy and understanding of the emotional, social, and intellectual needs of children with SEN
* Motivation to inspire confidence and support children with additional needs
You should be:
* Calm, patient, and a good listener
* Able to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff
* Reliable, trustworthy, and discreet
* Confident in managing behaviour with effective strategies
* A team player who can also use initiative
* Flexible and open to guidance and direction
