Location: Hybrid (Cambridgeshire HQ + 2 days WFH, client-focused role)
Salary: £40,000–£57,000 DOE + Company Car/Car Allowance, Commission, Healthcare
Contract: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hrs/week)
Overview:
We’re looking for an ambitious NPD Manager to help drive growth at one of Europe’s leading independent ecommerce packaging manufacturers. You’ll spearhead new product development, win new business, and help fill their £40m-capacity manufacturing HQ.
The Company:
Family-owned business, with £20m turnover, 16% annual growth, and a Zero Carbon Packaging certification, they are on a mission to become Europe’s first Net-Zero carbon packaging manufacturer by 2040.
The Role:
You’ll lead innovative packaging design and commercial development for major internet retailers—managing live projects, closing deals from £5k–£1m, delivering new sales. This is a hands-on role combining sales, CAD-led design, client visits, and market-led innovation.
Responsibilities:
• Drive new product development from concept to manufacture
• Win new and lapsed customers across ecommerce packaging
• Lead CAD-driven structural design and approval processes
• Champion AI, sustainability, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate closely with factory, CAD, and leadership teams
Requirements:
• Proven senior-level sales & packaging design experience (ecommerce essential)
• Advanced CAD skills (IMPACT required; Adobe preferred)
• Strong commercial acumen and confidence with blue-chip clients
• Self-starter mindset, high energy, and a passion for sustainable packaging
