How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    • Manage complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and capability matters
    • Support recruitment, selection and onboarding processes
    • Contribute to HR projects including engagement initiatives, policy reviews and organisational change activity
    • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure data quality and compliance
    • Support the continuous improvement of HR processes and employee experience

    About You

    • Proven experience within an HR advisory or generalist HR role
    • Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong working relationships
    • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
    • CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable
    • Willingness and ability to travel across the region as required

    Rewards & Benefits

The successful candidate will benefit from a comprehensive reward and benefits package, which may include:

    • Competitive salary of approximately £33,418 per annum, reflective of the responsibilities of the role
    • £5,000 car allowance to support regional travel.
    • Flexible hybrid working model, combining home working, office time, and regular service visits
    • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
    • Access to a company pension scheme with life assurance of two times salary
    • Opportunity to work with a supportive, experienced HR team and HR Business Partner
    • Exposure to a wide variety of HR activity, including complex ER casework, investigations, HR surgeries, and change programmes
    • The chance to build long-term relationships across a diverse region, contributing to a values-led, people-focused organisation
