    🌟 About the Role
You will be supporting two pupils on a 1:1 basis in separate settings, delivering a tailored approach using the MSI (Multi-Sensory Impairment) curriculum.
Both pupils have complex health needs, requiring a thoughtful, flexible, and nurturing approach to learning. This role is fully child-centred, with sessions adapted to meet their medical, physical, and developmental requirements.

    • Adapt teaching strategies to support complex medical and sensory needs
    • Create a calm, engaging, and safe learning environment
    🎯 What We’re Looking For
    * Experience supporting children with SEND and healthcare needs
    • A strong understanding of child-centred and adaptive learning approaches
    • Confidence working independently across different settings
    • A patient, compassionate, and flexible approach
    • Teaching or tutoring experience (QTS desirable but not essential)

    • Minimum 2-hour sessions
    • Training and ongoing support from a specialist tutor and physiotherapist
    • Guidance from an experienced consultant and SEND specialists within Barnsley Council
    • A highly rewarding role where you can make a genuine impact

    • Be part of a multi-disciplinary support team
    • Make a real and lasting difference in a child’s life
    Requirements:
    * An enhanced DBS (on the update system)
    * A strong understanding of safeguarding and Level 1 Safeguarding training (or willingness to obtain)
    * Two recent professional teaching references
