Primary PPA Teacher

Job Title: PPA Teacher (Primary - KS1 & KS2) - PArt-Time
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Contract Type: Part-Tim(3 days a week)
Salary: £150 - £220 per day (dependent on experience)

Start Date: September 2025

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) Teacher to join our primary school team in Chorley. This is a part-time role covering both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) classes. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across a variety of subjects, ensuring continuity in learning during teachers' PPA time.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2 during teacher PPA time.
Provide engaging and effective teaching that promotes learning and development across different subjects.
Manage the classroom environment to ensure a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all pupils.
Maintain and uphold school policies on behavior and safeguarding.
Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback where necessary.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching in a primary setting across KS1 and KS2.
Strong classroom management skills and flexibility to teach across different year groups.
A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
