How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a highly supportive residential and day setting in Dorset, working with children and young people with autism, Asperger’s and associated communication needs.

    About the Provision

This specialist environment supports learners aged 7–19 with autism, social communication differences and complex learning needs. The setting is known for:

A calm, structured and therapeutic environment designed to reduce anxiety and support emotional regulation.

A strong emphasis on individualised learning, with small class groups and high staffing ratios.

A curriculum that blends academic learning, life skills, independence development, outdoor learning and vocational opportunities.

A holistic approach that integrates speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and positive behaviour support.

A beautiful rural campus with access to woodlands, outdoor spaces, sensory rooms and specialist teaching areas.

The provision focuses on helping students build confidence, communication skills and independence, enabling them to thrive both in school and in the wider community.

You will be delivering adapted English and Maths lessons to small groups of students with autism and Asperger’s, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants.

    Your responsibilities will include:

Building trusting, consistent relationships with learners

Supporting emotional regulation and reducing anxiety triggers

Working closely with therapy teams and SEN staff to meet individual needs

Encouraging independence, social communication and life‑skills development

Strong understanding of autism‑specific strategies such as TEACCH, visual timetables, sensory regulation and structured teaching

Excellent communication and a commitment to child‑centred practice

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

    Benefits of Working With Us
