Packaging Technologist – Food Manufacturing – Coventry - £35,000 to £38,000
If you’ve ever looked at a pack on shelf and thought, “that could’ve been done better”… this might be for you.
This isn’t a role where you just tweak artwork and pass it along.
You’ll be right in the middle of it — fixing problems on site, getting new products over the line, and making sure packaging actually works in the real world… not just on a spec sheet.
You’ll be:
- Managing packaging development from concept through to launch
- Working closely with design agencies on artwork, reprographics and print quality
- Leading packaging trials and supporting product launches
- Troubleshooting issues on site with QA and Operations
- Managing packaging specs, compliance and ensuring everything is fit for purpose
- Driving cost-saving and improvement projects without cutting corners
- Building strong relationships with suppliers to stay ahead of trends
What they’re looking for
- Solid experience in NPD packaging within food manufacturing
- Someone who understands materials, films, and how packaging behaves in production
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with pretty much every department
- A problem-solver — not someone who escalates everything at the first hurdle
- Ideally degree-qualified with a packaging or food-related background
