    Job Title: UX Researcher – Digital Interaction (Contract)

    Location: West Midlands (On-site / Flexi)

    Job Type: Contract / Freelance

    Duration: 10 months

    Start Date: June 2026

    Rate: Circa £50,000 pro rata (£29.33/hr)


    About the Role

    A world-class iconic automotive brand is looking for a hands-on UX Researcher to join their multidisciplinary design and research team. You'll plan and execute usability testing across in-vehicle systems, VR simulators and functional prototypes — working in an agile sprint-based environment where your research directly shapes design decisions on next-generation vehicles.

    You Will:

    • Plan and run UX testing across vehicles, simulators and digital prototypes
    • Conduct usability testing using qualitative and quantitative methods
    • Collaborate with UX Designers to identify friction points and improve usability
    • Present findings clearly to internal design and product teams
    • Support concept validation through to final product assessment

    You'll Need:

    • Solid usability testing and user research experience
    • Confident testing across physical, digital and immersive prototypes
    • User-centred design principles knowledge
    • Agile, delivery-focused mindset
    • Full UK driving licence ✅

    Bonus Points For:

    • Automotive UX or HMI knowledge
    • Eye-tracking or behavioural analytics experience
    • Accessibility best practices awareness
