Regal Care Trading Limited, a well-established provider of residential, nursing, and dementia care, is seeking a compassionate and creative Activities Coordinator to join our team at Loose Court Care Home. To best support our residents and the local community, we prioritise candidates who live within a reasonable distance of the home.

Why Join Regal Care Trading Limited?

    Family Values, Strong Team Culture

We are a family-run organisation with over 20 years of experience in the care sector. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive working environment where staff feel respected and valued.

    A Meaningful and Rewarding Role

This role provides an opportunity to make a genuine difference in the daily lives of older people by supporting them to remain active, socially connected, and engaged.

    Training and Development

Full training and ongoing development opportunities are provided to support your professional growth within the care sector.

    About the Role

As an Activities Coordinator, you will organise and deliver a varied programme of meaningful activities that support residents’ physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. Many of our residents live with dementia, so activities will need to be engaging, inclusive, and adapted to individual abilities and interests.

You will play an important role in helping residents maintain independence, build social connections, and continue enjoying the hobbies and interests that are meaningful to them.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Planning and delivering daily activities and events that are stimulating and enjoyable for residents.
    • Organising group activities, entertainment, and seasonal events within the home.
    • Arranging community engagement and outings where appropriate.
    • Encouraging residents to participate in activities that support wellbeing and independence.
    • Building positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
    • Supporting residents with emotional wellbeing and companionship.
    • Maintaining records of activities and resident participation.
    • Working collaboratively with the care team to ensure activities are person-centred and inclusive.

    About You

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, caring, and creative, with a genuine interest in improving the quality of life for older people.

    You will have:

    • A positive and engaging personality.
    • Creativity and the ability to organise enjoyable activities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with older people, including those living with dementia.
    • The ability to motivate and encourage residents to take part in activities.

Previous experience in activities coordination or working in a care environment is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

    Requirements

    • Experience in a care home or similar environment is desirable.
    • Passion for supporting the wellbeing of elderly residents.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
    • Reliable, flexible, and committed to high standards.
    • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

    Qualifications

    • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
    • Previous experience in activity coordination or recreational programmes is desirable.
    • Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation.

    Rewards and Benefits

In return for your dedication, we offer a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including:

    • Free training and development opportunities
    • Wellbeing and employee support resources
    • Employee of the Month recognition
    • Long Service Awards
    • Opportunities for career progression

If you enjoy bringing people together, creating meaningful experiences, and making a difference in the lives of older people, this is a rewarding opportunity to join a supportive and caring team.
