We have a wonderful position available at a small church school located on the outskirts of Chorley, nestled in a beautiful rural setting. This is a fantastic chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives as you cover a mixed KS1 class from April until July 2026

Located in the tranquil outskirts of Chorley, the school offers a peaceful and picturesque setting for both staff and pupils. The school is conveniently accessible with good motorway links and two direct bus routes, making the commute to the school hassle-free.

Position Details:

Role: Year 1/2 Primary Teacher

Contract: April-July

Working Hours: 5 days a week, 8.15 am to 3.30 pm

Salary: Daily pay rates from £140 dependent on experience

Your Responsibilities:

As the Year 1/2 Primary Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a love for learning among your young pupils. Your responsibilities will include:

✔ Planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons aligned with the curriculum.

✔ Providing a supportive and encouraging learning environment for students.

✔ Monitoring and tracking students' progress, providing timely feedback.

✔ Collaborating with colleagues and parents to support the overall development of the students.

✔ Instilling a passion for learning and helping students reach their full potential.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

Be a qualified teacher with QTS
Experience of working within KS1 with a proven track record
Experience of working in a relevant classroom environment
Experience of supporting pupils with phonics
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
Legal right to work in the UK
