Job Title: Part-Time Academy Coach
Location: Alliance Park, Motherwell & Glasgow Green, Glasgow
Hours: Part-time (approx. 10–15 hours per week)
Reports to: Academy Director, Caledonian Braves Academy
About Caledonian Braves Academy
Caledonian Braves Academy is the player development arm of Caledonian Braves FC, competing in the Lowland League. The Academy provides a professional environment for young players to develop technically, tactically, and personally while aligning with the club’s footballing philosophy and values of ambition, creativity, and togetherness.
Role Overview
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Part-Time Academy Coach to lead and deliver high-quality training sessions across our youth development programme. The successful candidate will plan and coach sessions, support player development, and contribute to the long-term progression of Academy players.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging training sessions in line with the club’s philosophy and playing style.
- Lead coaching sessions:
- Monday & Friday mornings at Alliance Park (Motherwell)
- Tuesday & Thursday evenings at Glasgow Green
- Coach and manage the U20s team competing in the Lowland Development League(Friday evenings).
- Support matchday preparation and contribute to player selection, feedback, and analysis.
- Complete light administrative duties, including organising friendly fixtures and liaising with opposition clubs.
- Maintain player records and communicate effectively with coaching and performance staff.
- Promote the Academy values and contribute to a positive, learning-driven environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum UEFA C Licence (or working towards).
- Experience coaching within youth football (preferably ages 15–20).
- Strong session delivery and communication skills.
- Understanding of player development principles and modern coaching methods.
- Reliable, organised, and committed to the club’s long-term goals.
Desirable
- Experience within academy or semi-professional youth environments.
- Knowledge of the Scottish football landscape and development leagues.
- Valid PVG and First Aid certification.
Contract Details
- Part-time position with training and match commitments as above.
- Competitive hourly rate dependent on experience.
- Start date: Immediate / March 2026.
