We are recruiting a Logistics Supervisor, working for our team based in Wetherby, Yorkshire. The role is a full-time position paying up to £40,000 with excellent benefits.
About the Role
As a Logistics Supervisor, you will manage and coordinate logistics, including third party transportation arrangements, relating to outputs of waste from Augean’s Energy client base. Your excellent customer service will enable you to develop strong working relationships with both clients and logistics suppliers, therefore ensuring all collections are booked and subsequently delivered to Augean’s sites within specified times.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing proactive support and working with the Energy team to embed a generative health and safety culture.
- Maintaining a strong working relationship with logistics suppliers and Augean’s clients.
- Agreeing an appropriate Collection/Delivery Matrix with clients requiring logistics services.
- Performing regular inspections on logistics suppliers.
- Preparing tender documents, contracts and performance frameworks for current and prospective logistics services.
- Taking responsibility for documenting all additional costed work with hauliers and clients.
- Monitoring the performance of each contracted logistics supplier and ensuring compliance with Augean and relevant client KPIs.
- Preparing and delivering weekly / monthly reports to clients.
- Ensuring each Waste Carrier Licence is valid and up to date.
- Preparing and submitting performance reports to the management team.
- Travelling to sites as and when required.
What we are looking for:
- Educated to A level Standard, preferably graduate level.
- A relevant logistics qualification.
- Full Driving Licence.
- A proven track record of logistics co-ordination and relationship management.
- Experienced in preparation of contract documentation, contract management and KPIs.
- A good working knowledge of HSEQ matters related to transport logistics.
- Must be able to comply with HM Government Security Clearance Criteria.
- Strong computer skills (including all MS Office applications).
- A talent for recognising the opportunities for Process Improvement.
- Excellent problem solving and organisation skills.
- Effective decision making and negotiation skills.
