We’re recruiting on behalf of a global engineering and manufacturing organisation for a Supply Chain Planner to join their UK Logistics Centre in Daventry.
This is a 9-month maternity cover contract sitting within a Global Planning & Logistics function. It’s a hands-on role supporting site execution, regional escalations and cross-functional planning activity.

The Role
You’ll support planning liaisons and site operations to ensure key activities are delivered in line with business unit and regional expectations.
This position works closely with operations, inbound logistics, transportation teams and supply chain services to drive execution and maintain strong planning discipline across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the material planning interface with the UK Logistics Centre Operations
- Support aftermarket kitting and production scheduling processes
- Coordinate supplier returns with Supply Chain Services and site teams
- Manage customer returns across the EMEA region
- Create and modify Advanced Shipping Notifications
- Engage with inbound operations to resolve errors and reduce cycle time
- Support operational and transportation escalations
- Coordinate site priorities including Hazmat and receiving prioritisation
- Contribute to inventory optimisation initiatives
Broader Planning Duties
- Execute daily operational planning activities
- Monitor and adjust parameters within planning systems
- Analyse KPIs and drive corrective actions
- Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans
- Drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Support master scheduling and materials availability decisions
What We’re Looking For
- Degree (BSc / BA) in Supply Chain, Business or related discipline
- Internship or equivalent experience in a supply chain role
- Experience using materials planning systems
- Strong analytical capability and KPI interpretation skills
- Confident stakeholder management across operations and logistics
- Comfortable managing complexity and competing priorities
Experience with PFEP, master scheduling, inventory optimisation or part change control would be advantageous.
Hybrid working is available (3 days onsite in Daventry).
