Your role
Are you an event specialist who is confident working at pace, delivering conferences and events to a very professional standard? Do you thrive under pressure, have a passion for organisation and the ability to handle responsibility right from the start? We are looking for someone with these skills to:
- Deliver medium/large sized meetings, events and conferences across EMEA.
- Handle all event logistics across virtual, hybrid and live formats – agenda, evites, suppliers (tech and otherwise), travel/accommodation, including flights, ground transportation, hotel bookings, visa applications, compliance requirements etc for the management of corporates and speakers.
- Create, manage and distribute schedules using our BTS system.
- Managing project budgets including pre and post event costings.
- Liaising closely with internal business areas across the group.
- Building strong relationships with external corporate clients and investors.
- Work collaboratively with Business Area Marketing Directors, Marketing Managers and key business. Sponsors to help deliver events across our Global Markets and Global Banking businesses.
Your team
You’ll be working in the IB Marketing Execution team in London. The team is responsible for the delivery of roadshows, conferences and events to help drive business revenues and support business, product and sector objectives. We have teams in cities across the world, covering three regions: The Americas, APAC, and EMEA.
Your experience and skills
You have:
- a minimum of 7 years' experience in event marketing conferences, preferably in Financial or Professional Services, or a marketing agency servicing the Financial sector.
- Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in virtual and face to face delivery essential.
- Good negotiation and analytical skills.
- Comfortable working independently as well as with the wider team.
- Good knowledge of the event market and trends in EMEA.
You are:
- A collaborative team player with a "can do" proactive approach, willing to get the job done regardless of how big or small the task.
- Someone with a curious mind-set and the initiative to learn more about the Investment Banking business.
- Skilled at developing trusted relationships with others.
- Organized with a keen eye for accuracy and relentless attention to detail.
