The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
The LEV / Engineering Assistant supports the delivery of a high-quality engineering service across the contract, with a focus on the routine inspection and monitoring of LEV safety containment systems. This role provides assurance that assets are operating safely and consistently, supports accurate asset records, and contributes to maintaining a safe working environment for all end users.
What You'll Do:
Support the engineering team in the ongoing delivery of Local Exhaust Ventilation services across the contract
Carry out scheduled weekly visual inspections and functional checks of LEV containment and safety devices
Confirm, through defined inspection criteria, that equipment remains safe and suitable for continued use
Accurately record inspection outcomes using approved mobile systems and documentation processes
Maintain and update asset histories through consistent weekly checks and data capture
Identify and promptly escalate any abnormal conditions, defects, or performance concerns
Communicate professionally with site users to provide reassurance, updates, and basic guidance
Adhere fully to all CBRE and client Quality, Health & Safety, and operational procedures
What You'll Need:
Trade, engineering, or technical background
Working knowledge of life sciences laboratory environments (e.g. wet labs, dry labs, clean rooms, GMP or R&D settings)
Basic understanding of laboratory equipment lifecycle management (installation, maintenance, calibration, decommissioning)
Familiarity with health & safety requirements within laboratory and pharmaceutical environments
Competence using CMMS/CAFM systems for work orders, asset tracking, and service documentation
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
Professional, reliable, and safety‑conscious approach to work
Strong written and verbal communication skills
