Langstone Harbour Board is recruiting an Environment Officer to provide maternity cover on a 12 month fixed-term contract, starting in June 2026.

Role Description
The post holder will act as the Board's lead officer for environmental advice and coordination, working closely with the Harbour Master and external partners. Responsibilities include compliance with environmental legislation, implementation of the Environment Management Plan, coordination of monitoring and surveys, project support, and liaison with regulators and stakeholders. A structured handover will be provided.
Applicants should have experience in a coastal or marine management role, with good knowledge of coastal and estuarine issues and relevant environmental legislation. Excellent communication and IT skills are essential. Practical experience afloat is desirable, but not necessary.
