We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of high-end industrial printing and packaging equipment. This role combines electrical engineering, automation, software diagnostics, and hands-on mechanical work in a dynamic international environment.
What will you do?
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the technical expert supporting customers throughout the lifecycle of their equipment.
Your responsibilities include:
- Installation, commissioning, and start-up of advanced industrial machinery
- Troubleshooting electrical, software, automation, and mechanical issues
- Performing preventive maintenance and technical inspections
- Supporting machine upgrades, modifications, and optimization projects
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Diagnosing PLC, drive, sensor, and control system faults
- Providing technical training and support to customers
- Preparing service reports and maintaining documentation
- Collaborating closely with engineering and support teams
Who are you?
- MBO Level 4, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related technical field
- Experience with industrial machinery, automation, or production equipment
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge and willingness to work hands-on
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled systems is an advantage
- Good communication skills and customer-oriented mindset
- Independent, proactive, and solution-driven
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
