Cook II - Fulltime

For our restaurant, we are looking for 2 full-time Cooks II. Are you someone who enjoys working with fresh ingredients and fixed recipes? Are you able to independently and accurately prepare, cook and plate dishes? Then we are looking for you.

As a Cook II, you will be responsible for the preparation, cooking and plating of dishes and dish components. You will work according to fixed recipes, working methods and presentation standards. You will check the quality of ingredients, prepare dishes according to planning and ensure that orders are passed on neatly and on time.

In addition, you will carry out quality checks during preparation, including taste, colour, doneness and presentation. Where necessary, you will adjust dishes according to the correct instructions. You will also ensure a clean, safe and organised working environment in accordance with HACCP and safety regulations.

Tasks

• Preparing ingredients, such as washing, cutting, mixing and portioning.
• Preparing dishes according to recipes and instructions.
• Checking taste, doneness, colour and presentation.
• Plating and passing on dishes.
• Cleaning the work area, kitchen equipment and materials.
• Identifying and reporting any issues or defects.
• Assisting with receiving and storing delivered products.
• Working according to HACCP, safety regulations and the FIFO principle.

Requirements

MBO level 2–3 working and thinking level.

• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
• Able to work according to fixed recipes and instructions.
• Accurate, hygienic and organised way of working.
• Stress-resistant and able to remain calm during busy moments.
• Motivated, responsible and able to work well in a team.
