About the job

As a Warehouse Team Leader, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of the warehouse team. You translate the schedule into a clear division of labor, set priorities, and ensure that tasks are carried out efficiently and safely. You monitor progress, productivity, and quality, and serve as the first point of contact for employees with questions or issues.

In addition, you coach colleagues on their work and professional development and support the supervisor by providing input for performance reviews. You monitor performance in the Warehouse Management System and make adjustments as needed to achieve objectives. You also actively contribute ideas for process improvements and use methodologies such as Lean and 5S to further optimize logistics processes.

Safety is always a top priority. You ensure compliance with safety regulations such as AEO, HACCP, and ADR, record incidents, and take preventive measures to guarantee a safe work environment. Finally, you work closely with departments such as Customer Support, Planning, and Facilities, and regularly coordinate with other team leaders to ensure that daily operations run smoothly.

What we require

• MBO or MBO+ level of work and thinking
• At least 1 year of experience as a Team Leader in a logistics environment
• Proficiency in Dutch and/or English
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Flexible, organized, and able to handle stress
• Empathetic and able to coach employees
• Willing to work according to a schedule and available on short notice during busy periods
