What you'll be doing day to day
As the Risk & Compliance Manager, you'll lead a team dedicated to creating a safe, secure, and compliant environment for our co-workers, customers, and business.
In this role, you will:
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop a high-performing Risk & Compliance team.
- Ensure compliance with IKEA policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including safety, security, food safety, data privacy, and product safety.
- Lead site safety and security programs by identifying risks, tracking key performance indicators, and implementing action plans.
- Manage incident response, investigations, reporting, and insurance claims while driving continuous improvement.
- Partner with internal leaders and external agencies to maintain regulatory compliance and emergency preparedness.
- Support investigations involving theft, fraud, workplace misconduct, and information security while protecting confidentiality.
- Build a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence that delivers an exceptional experience for both customers and co-workers.

Qualifications
- At least 3 years of previous retail Safety & Security Management experience, or at least 3 years IKEA Risk & Compliance experience including internal training programs to develop towards a Risk & Compliance Manager position.
- Knowledge and understanding of Federal, State, and Local legislation regarding safety, security, and risk in a retail environment.
- Previous experience with running/implementing a comprehensive safety program and security program in a retail environment.
- Previous experience performing risk assessments, investigating safety and security incidents including internal & external theft and fraud investigations, performing root cause analysis, completing and overseeing incident reporting, performing crisis management, monitoring compliance for data privacy, implementing and training de-escalation methods, and managing safety and security vendors.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
