We are looking for a Solution Architect (deta‑vast) based in Eindhoven. Contract: 12 months. Hours: 38‑40 per week. No freelance positions. The role requires financial/banking experience and fluency in English (Dutch is a plus).
Responsibilities- Collect business requirements and translate them into process, application, information, and technology architecture, documenting into solution architectures and designs.
- Ensure architecture follows the Enterprise Architecture Framework and involves relevant stakeholders.
- Motivate and guide development teams to build solutions that match the architectural design.
- Co‑create architecture roadmaps and target‑state architecture in collaboration with other Solution Architects and the Lead Architect.
- Maintain and coordinate the architecture backlog, ensuring alignment with the roadmap.
- Contribute to improvements in Enterprise Architecture by working with the ERP community.
- Maintain baseline architecture in the enterprise repository, ensuring compliance with ArchiMate modelling standards.
- Monitor emerging technology trends and propose their application to enhance Commercial Finance’s IT landscape.
- Work closely with product owners and scrum teams to deliver features that have clear solution architecture design and business value.
- Serve as a thought leader on solution architecture, staying abreast of the latest technology and best market practices, and coaching peers.
- Operate comfortably within an Agile delivery model, supporting fast delivery while meeting strategic objectives.
- Provide professional guidance and perform quality assurance activities for delivered solutions.
- Communicate complex processes and IT subjects in senior‑management terminology.
- Coach developers and fellow architects, fostering professional development and adoption of architecture within the team.
- Maintain an outside‑in view focused on the customer, anticipating market developments and customer needs.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a solution architect.
- Certification in TOGAF or ArchiMate is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Broad understanding of strategy and architecture modelling standards.
- Thorough understanding of the financial industry, including business models and processes; familiarity with inventory finance is a plus.
- Experience in Agile/scrum environments.
- Experience with microservices architecture, SOAP and RESTful (API) services.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Node.js, Vue.js.
- Experience with application development on cloud platforms like Azure.
- Experience with Business Process Management applications like PEGA.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and protocols such as OWASP.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database management.
- Candidates must live within a maximum of 1.5 hour travel time from Eindhoven.
- During the onboarding period, the candidate works full‑time in the office.
