As Junior Risk Officer Operational Risk Management (ORM), you provide operational and analytical support to the Operational Risk Management team. You safeguard the data quality of incident registrations, support the monitoring of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and ensure that registrations, analyses and preparatory materials for risk processes are complete, accurate and auditable.
You keep incident and near‑miss registrations up to date in line with established taxonomies and data standards, prepare dashboard and reporting updates, and signal when thresholds are exceeded. You prepare materials for RCA workshops, support the administration of RCSA cycles, and maintain repositories and action trackers.
In addition, you support the preparation of quarterly and ad‑hoc risk reports and ensure proper documentation of assessments and supporting evidence. You also contribute to improvement initiatives and the development of standard templates.
As Junior Risk Officer ORM at Tata Steel, you will:
- Maintain incident and near‑miss registers and ensure that all data is complete, correctly categorised and compliant with data standards.
- Prepare regular KRI/KPI reports and dashboards and flag threshold breaches with appropriate analysis and substantiation.
- Prepare timelines, chronologies and basic analyses for RCA workshops and collect supporting evidence.
- Support RCSA administration by reviewing submissions, updating repositories and keeping action trackers up to date.
- Contribute to quarterly and ad‑hoc reporting and ensure auditable documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
You are accurate, eager to learn and service‑oriented: you gain energy from structuring data and supporting incident investigations. You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively with operational teams and respond quickly when issues require escalation. You take a proactive approach to improving templates and ensure documentation is well organised. In addition, you have:
- 1–3 years of relevant experience (risk management, data analytics, HSE administration, operations or project controls; internships and work placements count).
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, Safety, Risk Management or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of incident investigation, strong Excel skills and an interest in BI and GRC tools.
- A high level of accuracy and organisation, with availability for time‑sensitive reviews.
- Strong presentation and communication skills in both Dutch and English.
