As an Air Freight Logistics Administrator, you are the administrative backbone of the air freight department. You start your workday at 09:00 AM by checking incoming flight schedules and processing customs documentation for incoming shipments. Throughout the day, you maintain close contact with airlines and customs authorities, ensuring all shipment files are complete and accurate in the logistics system. At 05:30 PM, you close your laptop with a sense of satisfaction, knowing that all air freight files for the day have been processed to administrative perfection.
In this role, you will be employed through Staffice at an international logistics service provider in Hoofddorp, specializing in global air freight and supply chain solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing and preparing transport and customs documentation for air freight shipments.
- Registering and updating shipment data in the logistics management systems.
- Maintaining contact with airlines, customs, and internal operational departments.
- Monitoring the status of incoming and outgoing flights and adjusting schedules when necessary.
- Handling administrative exceptions and resolving bottlenecks in shipment files.
- Archiving files and ensuring complete compliance with aviation safety guidelines.
- Experience in an administrative role within logistics or air freight is a plus.
- Accurate way of working with a sharp eye for detail.
- Good general computer skills and quick to learn new logistics software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
- Full-time availability from Monday to Friday, 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM.
