Shape the future of supply chain at BDR Thermea Group. The Head of Group Supply Chain Excellence is a key strategic partner to the Group Supply Chain Director, translating strategy into actionable programmes, driving standardisation and building the operating model for the organisation.
LocationThis hybrid role is based in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, with an expectation to spend at least two days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities- Define and drive the global supply chain strategy, translating it into actionable multi‑year roadmaps and leading cross‑functional transformation programmes with measurable outcomes.
- Drive Business Process Excellence across supply chain, standardising and harmonising end‑to‑end processes, defining group policy, and establishing a consistent way of working between group and local teams.
- Build and develop the SC Excellence team: recruit, onboard, and create a team development roadmap aligned with the transformation phases.
- Develop KPI frameworks and advanced analytics to enable data‑driven decision‑making, and establish the governance needed to move from reactive reporting to proactive risk management.
- Lead supply chain workstreams in industrial transfers, digital design and deployment, and data management, ensuring continuity, cost efficiency, and scalability across the organisation.
- A Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Business Administration.
- 15+ years of experience in supply chain, with a strong track record in process improvement and managing complex, multi‑site programmes.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role, managing cross‑functional teams and large‑scale supply chain initiatives.
- Proven experience driving standardisation and change in a decentralised organisation, shifting mindsets, not just processes.
- Experience building a function or team from scratch; comfortable with ambiguity and energised by creating structure where little exists.
- Nice to have: Professional supply‑chain certification (e.g., APICS CSCP or CPIM).
- Nice to have: Experience working with S/4HANA or similar ERP platforms in a multi‑site rollout context.
