APM Terminals is seeking a Lean Leader to coach, embed, and advance Lean principles across all functions at APMT Headquarters. This role focuses on applying Lean tools in back‑office environments, developing culture, and resolving problems.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy and continuously improve the Lean Program by leading change, coaching, and mentoring functional managers and employees.
- Drive a kaizen culture and mindset through robust kaizen events targeting tangible, sustainable improvements of transactional processes and back‑office procedures.
- Build a stable Daily Management structure across all headquarters functions, drive cross‑functional performance management, and support teams in establishing a robust closed‑loop process.
- Promote Lean behaviors and an A3 Problem‑Solving mindset, especially among people leaders, and develop business problem solvers across all functions and teams.
- Coach and train headquarters staff on Lean awareness programs and specific Lean tools.
- Lean practical knowledge of common tools and processes such as A3 Problem Solving, Kaizen, Daily Management & Visual Management, VSM, TPI, Standard Work, 5S, VOC, Value Selling, Hoshin Kanri.
- Solid operations background, preferably with hands‑on experience in terminal, logistics, manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience facilitating leaders and senior management teams, developing their participation and ownership of transformation projects and workshops.
- Experience working across different cultures and functions.
- Strong facilitation skills, ability to lead without authority, effective change‑management capability.
- Respected across the organization, a respected learner, self‑motivated, exceeding expectations.
- Lean and project‑management certifications are a plus.
