Job Purpose: The Media Account Director is the strategic engine of our client relationships. You will lead a high‑performing, multi‑channel team, delivering innovative, data‑driven, full‑funnel media strategies that drive client success and agency growth.
Responsibilities- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the senior point of contact, navigating complex stakeholder environments and fostering enduring, high‑level partnerships.
- Escalation Management: Act as the ultimate point of resolution for critical account issues, providing decisive leadership and conflict mediation.
- Commercial Growth: Identify and convert organic growth opportunities within your portfolio and lead high‑stakes pitches for new business.
- Financial Oversight & Pricing: Take full ownership of portfolio finances, including estimation, creation, and rigorous review of budgets and pricing models for new services.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of Account Managers, fostering a culture of curiosity and excellence.
- Strategic Optimization: Collaborate with Analytics teams to interpret performance data and deliver actionable business insights.
- Professional Background: Extensive experience in sales or account management, including 4+ years within a media agency environment. Proven leadership experience is a significant plus.
- Financial Acumen: Experience in building complex agency proposals for media clients, scoping new services, and maintaining healthy margins.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Media Expertise: Deep experience managing media clients (Retail Media, Amazon, and Marketplaces preferred).
- Proven Track Record: Portfolio demonstrating successful management of accounts exceeding $5M+ in annual media spend, spanning full‑funnel strategy and activation.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert use of Salesforce and PowerBI. Familiarity with Google Marketing Platform, Meta Business Suite, Amazon Advertising, Pacvue, or Amalytix is highly advantageous.
- Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, expert‑level negotiation skills, and ability to translate complex technical jargon for C‑suite stakeholders.
- Mindset: Proactive, hands‑on personality with a flexible, solution‑oriented mindset.
- Languages: Business fluency in both English and German is required.
