The Senior Solution Consultant provides pre‑sales support in the development and presentation of our solutions to address the complex problems that Workiva's platform solves.
What You’ll Do- Execute pre‑sales framework to engage customers, prospects, and partners via phone, web, or onsite meetings, drive the discovery process, and identify areas where Workiva solutions align to address customer/prospect needs
- Ensure customer success by working with Workiva Client Services team for smooth onboarding and long‑term success
- Demonstrate knowledge across multiple domain areas, developing working knowledge of industries, departments, and use cases where Workiva can have an impact
- Assist in developing new use‑cases or by using existing templates providing proof of our solution's impact and value proposition
- Conduct process assessments with customers, build Proof of Concepts to validate requirements, and present customer‑specific business cases
- May begin to deliver cross‑domain coaching, training, or mentoring peers
- Work with Product Marketing, Client Services, Scoping, and Customer Success to achieve team and company goals
- Assist Sales in developing account plans in support of Workiva strategies and objectives
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
- 6+ years of experience in Consulting, Presales, Solution Consulting, Solution Implementation or similar
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience engaging with and presenting to business or IT managers and executives
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Self‑motivated with strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement
- Consultant level in the Big Four or public accounting
- Hands‑on technical experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and architectures
- Experience with ERP, GRC, GL, FP&A, or Analytics & Reporting solutions
- Proficiency in data transformation and integration workflows (SQL, ETL, or BI tools)
- Ability to present a value‑based, compelling software demonstration
- Familiarity with complex regulatory reporting frameworks (e.g., Banking, Insurance, or Investment Management sectors) is advantageous
Willingness to travel up to 30% for team and corporate meetings, fostering relationships and representing company interests. Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, as we embrace flexible work arrangements.
