We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Executive Chef to lead the kitchens at Hyatt Regency Amsterdam.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being present on the floor, working with the team, and shaping the day-to-day culinary experience.
You will be responsible for all kitchen operations across the hotel, from Mama Makan (our signature dining destination), bar, in-room dining and events.
You will set the tone for the team, the food, and the standards we work to.
What you’ll be doing
Overseeing all culinary in the hotel, including restaurant, bar, events and room service
Keeping a close eye on quality, consistency and presentation across all venues
Driving menu development with a focus on seasonality, sustainability and local sourcing
Managing food cost, labor, purchasing, and stock control responsibly
Making sure everything runs in line with HACCP, hygiene standards and Dutch regulations
Working closely with F&B and other departments to make the operation run smoothly
Experience & Expertise
Minimum 8 to 10 years of culinary experience, including 3 to 5 years in a senior leadership role – either as Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Head Chef
Proven experience managing multiple venues (restaurants, events & in-room dining) in an upscale or high-volume environment
Demonstrated success in menu creation, food innovation, and concept development
Solid kitchen financial and operational judgement

Qualifications
Degree, diploma, or certification in Culinary Arts or Hospitality preferrable
Fluency in English required; Dutch is an advantage
Prior experience within an international hospitality brand
