The HR Director Global Functions & Netherlands (HRD GF) is responsible for HR leadership across Global and Central Functions and holds central ownership for HR in the Netherlands. This role ensures strong HR business partnering to corporate leadership, consistent application of HR frameworks, and robust governance of Dutch employment conditions across the matrix. The HR Director is a member of the HR Leadership Team (HRLT) and acts as an extension of the Chief HR Officer, creating a strong two‑way connection between global HR strategy and business line strategy (execution).
Key Accountabilities- Strategic Business Partnering
- Act as HR partner to leaders of Global and Central Functions, including Digital & IT and Finance.
- Enable effective organization design, leadership capability, and workforce planning within functions in the global teams and across the matrix organisation.
- Lead the people side of digital and AI transformations for both the HR operating model and the business.
- Act as business partner to the Global HR team and Facilities NL.
- HR Leadership & Governance
- Lead and coach Global HRBPs.
- Drive consistent application of HR frameworks, standards, and policies across the global functions.
- Ensure clear governance, roles, and decision rights across functional HR scopes.
- Leadership of HR within the Netherlands
- Hold central accountability for HR in the Netherlands, including legislation compliance, employment conditions, policies and contract management with local external partners.
- Lead relationships with the Dutch Works Council on matters related to Global/Headquarters and coordinate with Works Council representatives.
- Organization & Capability Building
- Shape organization design, leadership model, and talent pipelines aligned with current and future business needs.
- Own strategic workforce planning for Global Functions, including critical roles, successors, and capability gaps.
- Sponsor key transformation and change initiatives within Global and Central Functions, in close collaboration with COEs.
- Governance, Cost & Performance
- Accountable for roll‑up and optimization of HR plans and people cost across HR, Finance, Digital & IT.
- Co‑own HR functional cost performance as part of the HRLT, including workforce size, external spend, and operating model efficiency.
- Identify and drive structural efficiency opportunities (simplification, automation, productivity improvements, operating model changes).
- Enterprise Contribution
- Actively contribute to HRLT decision‑making, shaping Nutreco’s overall HR strategy, operating model, and transformation agenda.
- Collaborate closely with COEs, HR Operations, and other HRDs to ensure end‑to‑end HR effectiveness.
Reports to: Chief HR Officer.
Direct reports: HRBP Digital & IT, HRBP Finance and Central Functions.
Dotted line: HRBPs operating in the Netherlands (BUs and global functions) and HRBP Eruvaka.
