The HR Director Livestock Feed (HRD LF) is the senior HR leader for the Livestock Feed business line. The role acts as a strategic business partner to the COO Livestock Feed, ensuring that people, organization, and leadership agenda fully enable the business strategy and commercial acceleration of Livestock Feed globally.
Job DescriptionThe HRD LF leads and coordinates all HR Directors and HR Business Partners across Livestock Feed business units and operating companies, creating alignment, consistency, and delivery against Nutreco’s HR strategy while allowing for local execution in a matrix environment. The role is a member of the HR Leadership Team (HRLT). In this role, the HR Director acts as an extension of the Chief HR Officer, ensuring a strong two‑way connection between global HR strategy and business line strategy (execution). The role is accountable for translating Nutreco‑wide policies and people frameworks into fit‑for‑purpose business line strategies, while actively bringing business insights, requirements, and local perspectives back to the CHRO/HRLT to jointly shape future people strategies and priorities.
Key AccountabilitiesStrategic Business PartneringAct as trusted sparring partner to the COO Livestock Feed and LF Leadership Team on strategy, organization design, leadership effectiveness, succession, and workforce planning. Translate Livestock Feed business strategy into an integrated people and organization agenda across BUs and geographies. Anticipate people implications of growth, portfolio shifts, innovation, and transformation initiatives. Lead the people side of digital and AI transformations (AI in the workplace) for both our HR operating model and the business.
Leadership of HR within Livestock FeedLead and coach BU HR Directors and senior HRBPs within Livestock Feed. Drive consistent application of HR frameworks, standards, and policies across the business line. Strengthen strategic capability of HR teams, shifting focus from operational delivery to value‑adding business partnering.
Organization & Capability BuildingShape organization design, leadership model, and talent pipelines aligned with current and future business needs. Own strategic workforce planning for Livestock Feed, including critical roles, successors, and capability gaps. Sponsor key transformation and change initiatives within the business line, in close collaboration with COEs.
Governance, Cost & PerformanceAccountable for roll‑up and optimization of HR plans and people cost (AP) across Livestock Feed, in coordination with Finance and Global Rewards. Co‑own HR functional cost performance as part of the HRLT, including workforce size, external spend, and operating model efficiency. Identify and drive structural efficiency opportunities (e.g. Simplification, automation, productivity improvements, operating model changes) and ensure compliant, consistent, and effective application of employment frameworks across jurisdictions.
Enterprise ContributionActively contribute to HRLT decision making, shaping Nutreco’s overall HR strategy, operating model, and transformation agenda. Collaborate closely with COEs, HR Operations, and other HRDs to ensure end‑to‑end HR effectiveness.

- Business Insight: Understands commercial drivers of the Livestock Feed business and anticipates people implications of growth, innovation, and portfolio shifts.
- Drives Vision and Purpose: Connects leaders and HR teams to Nutreco’s purpose and strategy, creating clarity and commitment.
- Builds Effective Teams: Builds a strong community of BU HRDs and senior HRBPs with shared standards and mutual accountability.
- Develops Talent: Strengthens the strategic capability and succession of HR leaders within Livestock Feed.
- Global Perspective: Ensures people solutions work across cultures, regions, and regulatory environments.
