Shopfloor Continuous Improvement Lead

Our client is a large, fast-paced manufacturing organisation with a strong focus on operational performance, continuous improvement, and disciplined execution on the shopfloor. The site environment is hands‑on and collaborative, bringing Operations and Maintenance together to deliver measurable improvements in reliability and output.

We are looking for a Shopfloor Continuous Improvement Lead to strengthen operational discipline and performance management in production. This role focuses on improving day‑to‑day execution, problem solving, and performance steering to reduce losses and embed sustainable improvements on the factory floor.

• Drive structured problem solving together with team leaders and operators to eliminate recurring issues.
• Analyse performance losses and translate insights into practical improvement actions on the shopfloor.
• Improve adherence to operating standards, including:
  • Changeover procedures
  • Autonomous maintenance routines
  • Correct and consistent machine operation
• Strengthen performance management routines, including facilitating and sharpening Tier‑based performance meetings.
• Coach stakeholders on shifting from “explaining results” to actively steering performance and execution.
• Ensure improvements are implemented effectively and embedded into daily ways of working.
• Work closely with Maintenance stakeholders to align priorities, support cross‑functional collaboration, and sustain results.

• Proven experience in Continuous Improvement / Performance Excellence / Operational Excellence in a production environment.
• Strong background in shopfloor change: coaching, influencing, and building operational discipline.
• Skilled in loss analysis and root cause problem solving.
• Experience working with tier structures and performance management routines.
• Practical, hands‑on, and results‑driven approach, with the ability to make improvements stick.
