About the Role: The Public Affairs and Health Economics & Market Access Manager supports PA/HEMA strategy definition and development at the country level, embedding healthcare system knowledge and local trends. The candidate will create reimbursement and market access opportunities, promote Boston Scientific with stakeholders, customize existing Health Economics models, work with local data to inform commercial strategy, support business cases for new procedures and device use, and assume multi‑divisional responsibilities.
This is a permanent role that offers weekly hybrid working from our office.
Responsibilities- Assess reimbursement opportunities and challenges for emerging technologies and actively communicate business impact to senior management.
- Identify key health economics needs for Boston Scientific platform products in collaboration with health economics and outcomes research colleagues.
- Lead the development and execution of practical strategies to secure optimal reimbursement (coding/coverage/payment) for products and procedures.
- Lead implementation of tactical planning activities required to achieve reimbursement objectives such as new code applications and customer billing guides.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and communicate economic value messages supporting product adoption.
- Manage the provision of internal training to sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, and legal teams to increase understanding of health economics and market access competencies.
- Monitor and analyze healthcare policy and funding developments affecting the reimbursement landscape, proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with government representatives, physician leaders, hospital stakeholders, and other payer decision makers to support sustainable access and favorable policy environments.
- Support a continuous improvement environment that aligns with Boston Scientific’s Quality Policy, Quality System, and applicable regulations.
- Degree in Life Sciences, Health Economics, Political Science, or a related field; postgraduate qualification in Health Economics or public affairs is ideal.
- Relevant experience in market access or public affairs within MedTech (preferred) or Pharma.
- Fluency in English (B2 or higher) for cross‑country communication and multinational exposure.
- Good knowledge of the Health System in the Netherlands, including structure, funding, and reimbursement.
- Commitment to continuous self‑development, adaptability to new challenges, and flexible, positive attitude.
- Ability to generate new ideas and approaches through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Solid experience in leading functional and cross‑functional teams.
- Experience in health policy, market access, reimbursement, health economics, and/or outcomes research.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
