Based in the Netherlands, the Director of Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing the EMEA organization’s day‑to‑day operations. This role ensures efficiency, quality, and scalability of processes, translating business strategy into tangible operational results. The Director of Operations plays a key role in driving performance, leading teams in supply chain, logistics and customer service and operates in close connection with manufacturing plants around the globe and drives for sustainable growth.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:- Develop and implement the operational strategy in alignment with overall business objectives
- Lead, manage, and coach operational teams and their managers
- Monitor and improve KPIs (productivity, quality, cost efficiency, customer satisfaction)
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiency initiatives
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for operations (EMEA)
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal policies
- Collaborate cross‑functionally (e.g., Sales, Finance, HR) to achieve company goals
- Lead change management initiatives and organisational development
- Report on operational performance to senior leadership / executive team (Monthly)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field)
- Minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience in operations, including several years in a leadership role
- Managing large teams and complex operational environments
- Distribution and Manufacturing of Consumer Goods
- Involvement or Leadership of IBP/S&OP processes
- Proven track record in process optimization and performance management
- Experience with budgeting and financial oversight
- Industry experience in hospitality is a plus
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills
- Proven leadership and people management capabilities
- Results‑driven and decisive
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem‑solving ability with a hands‑on mindset
- Effective stakeholder management (internal and external)
- Experience in change management
- Solid financial acumen and business understanding
- Experience with Netstock, HubSpot, Incorta, Exact/Synergy
- Familiarity with advanced program/portfolio tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet) desirable
- Excellent English (required), Dutch preferred
- French or other European languages (a plus)
