Overview

A specialised European wind turbine and components manufacturer in Rotterdam is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing across direct and indirect categories. Leveraging its position in one of Europe's most important port and energy hubs, the company serves onshore and offshore wind clients across the North Sea region. The role plays a critical part in supplier development, cost optimisation, and supply chain resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies across direct (steel, composites, electrical components) and indirect spend.
• Lead supplier negotiations, contract management, and performance reviews.
• Oversee supplier qualification and quality processes in line with IEC 61400 standards.
• Manage supply risk, including geopolitical, financial, and operational factors (rare earths, semiconductors).
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and total cost of ownership analyses.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations on new product introductions.
• Lead a procurement team of 6–8 buyers and category specialists.

Essential Qualifications

• 8+ years in procurement, preferably in renewables, heavy industry, or precision manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience with long-term framework agreements.
• Familiarity with IEC 61400 and wind industry supply chain standards.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Desired Qualifications

• CIPS certification or equivalent.
• Experience with SAP Ariba or similar e‑procurement platforms.

Salary

Salary €85,000 – €105,000 gross per annum. Bonus and standard benefits apply.

Een gespecialiseerde Europese fabrikant van windturbines en componenten in Rotterdam zoekt een Procurement Manager om de strategische inkoop voor directe en indirecte categorieën te leiden. Vanuit één van de belangrijkste haven- en energieknooppunten van Europa bedient het bedrijf onshore en offshore windklanten in de Noordzeeregio.

Belangrijkste Verantwoordelijkheden

• Ontwikkelen en uitvoeren van categoriestrategieën voor directe inkoop (staal, composieten, elektrische componenten) en indirecte uitgaven.
• Leiden van leveranciersonderhandelingen, contractbeheer en prestatiebeoordelingen.
• Toezicht houden op leverancierskwalificatie en kwaliteitsprocessen conform IEC 61400-normen.
• Beheren van toeleveringsrisico's, waaronder geopolitieke, financiële en operationele factoren (zeldzame aardmetalen, halfgeleiders).
• Aansturen van kostenreductie‑initiatieven en analyses van totale eigendomskosten.
• Samenwerken met engineering, kwaliteit en operations bij de introductie van nieuwe producten.
• Leiden van een inkoopteam van 6 tot 8 inkopers en categoriespecialisten.

Vereisten

• 8+ jaar ervaring in inkoop, bij voorkeur in hernieuwbare energie, zware industrie of precisieproductie.
• Sterke onderhandelingsvaardigheden en ervaring met meerjarige raamovereenkomsten.
• Bekendheid met IEC 61400 en de toeleveringsketen van de windindustrie.
• Vloeiend Nederlands en Engels.

Voorkeurskwalificaties

• CIPS‑certificering of gelijkwaardig.
• Ervaring met SAP Ariba of vergelijkbare e‑procurementplatforms.

Pakket

Salaris: 85.000 € – 105.000 € bruto per jaar. Bonus en standaardvoordelen.
