As Legal Counsel within Siemens Healthineers Netherlands you will be responsible for handling various commercial legal matters, including regulatory issues and Data Privacy, and you will directly report to the General Counsel of Siemens Healthineers Netherlands.
Responsibilities- Be a trusted advisor with respect to legal matters to the operational business of Siemens Healthineers Nederland B.V.
- Provide guidance and contribute to the strategy and implementation of the Siemens Healthineers business in the Netherlands
- Mitigate legal risks and help the business in mitigating commercial risks
- Draft, negotiate, and settle commercial agreements, perform risk assessment and approval processes, and liaise with other members of the global Legal function when appropriate
- Provide legal support for data processing agreements, and be a sparring partner for the Data Privacy Coordinator on Data Privacy legal topics for the Netherlands
- Inform the General Counsel of Siemens Healthineers Nederland B.V. Of areas that represent a legal or reputational risk
- Act as a challenger to the business when appropriate, while maintaining credibility in your participation and advice
- Work collaboratively with Siemens Healthineers legal specialists in headquarters Germany and USA, and the global legal network as a whole
- Exhibit core values such as integrity, respect, and reliability
- Master’s degree in Dutch law
- Minimum of 8 years of legal work experience
- Experience within a multinational environment and/or international law firm
- Strong legal knowledge, particularly in contract law, data privacy law, and public procurement law
- Relevant experience focused on contract law for supply and service transactions, distributorship agreements, data processing agreements, software/IT agreements, and collaboration & research agreements
- Interest and affinity with the Healthcare and/or Life Science sector
- Ability to familiarize oneself with new legal fields impacting the Siemens Healthineers business
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication in Dutch and English – C2 Level
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and set appropriate priorities
- Cooperative team spirit, pragmatic, and hands‑on
- Excellent business acumen
