We are looking for Assistant Project Managers to take ownership of critical work packages. Based on your experience and interests, we will determine which team is the best fit for you.
Your RoleAs an Assistant Project Manager, you play a key role in the preparation and execution of complex offshore projects. You ensure your work are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the highest quality and HSE standards. Depending on the department and type of project, your focus may vary: from managing operational and client-facing activities in commercial projects to driving technical innovation and vessel upgrades in non-commercial projects.
Responsibilities Non-commercial Projects- Engineering & Documentation: Coordinate technical documentation, drawings, and specifications; ensure quality and compliance.
- Planning & Coordination: Develop detailed schedules from concept design until commissioning and testing and ensure proper progress reporting onsite.
- Supplier Management: Work closely with internal teams and subcontractors for technical delivery and material supply.
- Budget & Reporting: Monitor costs and man-hours; prepare accurate forecasts and reports.
- HSE & Quality: Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements throughout all project phases.
- Team Coordination: Lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure smooth collaboration between engineering, asset management, operations, and HSE.
- Process Optimization: Implement improvements in project processes and contribute to strategic innovations.
Typical projects: vessel conversions and modifications, crane upgrades, in‑house developments such as the topsides lift system, construction of new‑build vessels, etc.
Commercial Projects- Planning & Coordination: Develop detailed schedules for offshore installations and operational activities.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain close contact with clients, suppliers, and authorities to safeguard commercial agreements and permits.
- Contract Management: Handle contract changes, concessions, and commercial aspects; negotiate variations and claims.
- Budget & Reporting: Prepare cost estimates, progress reports, and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
- Team Coordination: Lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure smooth collaboration between engineering, operations, and HSE.
- Risk Management: Identify commercial and operational risks and develop mitigation plans.
Typical projects: installation and decommissioning of platforms in the wind and oil and gas sectors, as well as installation of pipelines.
Requirements- Bachelor or Master in Civil, Mechanical, Offshore Engineering, Economics, or Commerce.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in project management or coordination, preferably in a technical context.
- Affinity with complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of contract management and interest in commercial aspects.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Willingness to travel and occasionally work offshore.
