Quality Lead

Quality Engineer – High-Tech Manufacturing / Deep Tech

Location: Amsterdam (on-site / hybrid)

Industry: Advanced Engineering / High-Tech Systems

The Role

We are supporting a growing deep‑tech company operating in highly regulated, high‑performance industries. They are looking to hire a Quality Engineer to take ownership of product and process quality across the full lifecycle—from development and industrialisation through to low‑volume production and delivery.

This role sits at the intersection of Engineering, Production, and Operations, and is key to ensuring robust quality standards in a fast‑paced, scale‑up environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive the non‑conformance (NCR) process, including root cause analysis and CAPA implementation
• Prepare for and support internal and external audits (e.g. ISO 9001 and customer audits)
• Define and maintain acceptance criteria, release procedures, and production documentation
• Support development projects by assessing manufacturability, compliance risks, and production readiness
• Strengthen and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and documentation processes
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce recurring quality issues
• Work cross‑functionally with engineering and production teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field
• 5‑10 years’ experience in quality roles within high‑tech or precision manufacturing environments
• Strong experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems
• Proven track record in NCR ownership, root cause analysis (e.g. 8D), and CAPA processes
• Experience preparing for audits and managing compliance requirements
• Knowledge of production documentation, traceability, and batch records
• Strong communication skills with a practical, solution‑oriented mindset
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, evolving environment

Preferred

• Experience within regulated industries (e.g. Aerospace, defence, medical, or similar)
• Background in product introduction, industrialisation, or scaling production
• Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments
