We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join this industrial team. You will play a key role in analysing stakeholder needs, procuring materials and services, managing vendors, ensuring quality, and maintaining optimal stock levels. You will also ensure compliance with procurement procedures and provide clear reporting to senior management.
Key Responsibilities- Procurement Planning: Forecast requirements to ensure timely purchasing
- Vendor Management: Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost
- Negotiation: Manage contracts for spends up to $50K; support senior procurement on higher-value deals
- Order Management: Place orders, track deliveries, and resolve issues
- Quality Assurance: Ensure goods meet required standards and specifications
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with warehouse teams to optimise stock and lead times
- Reporting: Prepare procurement reports for senior leadership
- Compliance: Maintain accurate records (POs, receipts, waybills, warranties) in Oracle and follow procurement policies
- Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- Proven experience as a Buyer in an industrial environment
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Experience with procurement systems (Oracle preferred)
- Knowledge of procurement processes and compliance standards
- Analytical, organised, and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Must live near Rotterdam Port
- Own transport required
- Fluent Dutch (spoken and written)
