Job DescriptionOur client is looking for an Commissioning & Start-Up Project Manager to support the delivery of a major industrial project at site level. This role is focused on the execution phase of the project, including organizing commissioning activities, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, and supporting the successful start-up and qualification of new systems.
The Interim Commissioning & Start-Up Manager will play a key role in ensuring that testing, validation, and reporting activities are completed in a structured and efficient way. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working in a live manufacturing environment and managing multiple stakeholders during a critical project period.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee commissioning and start-up activities for the main system and related supporting systems
- Lead execution activities together with the project team and external equipment suppliers
- Support testing and qualification activities, including structured documentation and reporting
- Monitor progress across different workstreams and help keep the project on track during key milestones
- Manage the start-up of supporting systems connected to the wider project scope
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure readiness for the most critical project phases
- Maintain a clear overview of actions, risks, issues, and follow-up points throughout execution
- Support a smooth handover from preparation into operational start-up and qualification
- Proven experience in commissioning, start-up, or similar project execution roles within an industrial environment
- Strong understanding of qualification and validation activities such as IQ, OQ, and PQ
- Experience coordinating suppliers and working with cross-functional teams on site
- Comfortable working in a structured, hands-on role within a production environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Fluent English is required
- Dutch is an advantage
- Primary work location: Lutjewinkel (Working in Amersfoort 1 or 2 days)
