YOUR ROLEYou will be part of the Operations Support team at our site in Nieuwegein. This team consists of 12 colleagues: 1 supervisor, 3 direct colleagues and 8 colleagues working in the warehouse. You will mainly work day shifts and will have the freedom to work independently. You will report to the Supervisor IVC.
The atmosphere at the site is informal, engaged and personal. The location operates staggered shifts from 07:00 to 16:00 and from 16:00 to 01:00, Monday to Friday. We expect you to be flexible enough to occasionally work, for example, from 14:00 to 22:00. Good to know: the site is growing rapidly, which means there are opportunities to develop and progress into a next role in the future.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?In this position you are responsible for inventory control. Together with your colleagues you analyse the physical stock and compare it to the system. You will work extensively with the digital inventory system (WMS) and will regularly be found in the warehouse aisles to count the physical stock. You identify discrepancies and make connections between the actual stock and the expected stock. You are also the primary point of contact for the organisation and the customer concerning physical inventory and shrinkage.
Your daily tasks include:- Managing and initiating (re)counts and creating and maintaining reports in the digital inventory system (WMS)
- Actively counting and checking the stock in the warehouse
- Identifying damages and discrepancies and following them up
- Achieving positive KPIs related to damage and stock accuracy
- Thinking of and proposing optimisation and improvement initiatives
- Independently taking on and implementing improvement projects
- Liaising with various internal departments
- Maintaining close contact with the customer (by phone, email and face‑to‑face)
- Focusing on and safeguarding quality within the operation
You enjoy bringing inventory into order. You value the accurate processing and monitoring of data and maintaining solid customer relationships. You have a proactive work attitude and respond adequately to signals from the business. You also enjoy working together with your colleagues.
In addition, you bring the following knowledge and experience:- MBO+/Bachelor level of working and thinking
- Experience with stock counting / inventory control (is an advantage)
- Experience in a warehouse / contract logistics environment in various roles
- Professional command of English and Dutch (advantage)
- Strong analytical skills
- Comfortable working with automated systems and MS Office, especially Excel
- Accurate, proactive, able to identify patterns and capable of solving problems independently
