Job DescriptionOur client is looking for a Senior Category Marketing Manager – Foodservice to strengthen its presence in the Dutch market. This role is focused on translating broader channel strategy into strong local execution, with a clear emphasis on market insight, portfolio focus, customer relevance, and commercial impact. The successful candidate will play an important role in shaping local plans, identifying market opportunities, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve performance and support growth within the foodservice channel.
Responsibilities- Develop a clear understanding of the local market, including competitors, pricing, trends, categories, and customer needs
- Translate channel strategy into practical local plans with clear objectives, target groups, and measurable outcomes
- Support the development and optimization of the product portfolio in line with market needs and business priorities
- Lead marketing communication and activation plans for the local market
- Help improve the customer journey by identifying important touchpoints and opportunities for optimization
- Work closely with sales and other internal teams to support customer plans and business growth
- Manage budgets carefully and ensure activities are delivered effectively and on time
- Use available data and performance indicators to evaluate initiatives and adjust plans where needed
- Build strong working relationships with commercial teams, finance, digital specialists, customers, distributors, and other relevant stakeholders
- Several years of experience in marketing, ideally within channel, category, or commercial marketing
- Strong understanding of the B2B and foodservice market
- Experience translating strategy into practical execution
- Good analytical skills and confidence using data to support decisions
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Proactive mindset with a hands-on, ownership-driven approach
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
- Experience in the food industry or a similar commercial environment is highly valuable
- Knowledge of tools such as Power BI is an advantage
