The role involves managing the site's operations, finances, and commercial activities, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and market trends. The site manager provides logistics services, meets customer requirements, and maintains profitability according to EBIT standards. They ensure operations comply with permits, laws, and quality standards and maintain key internal and external relationships. Additionally, they engage management team members to contribute across the site organization.
Applicant's Profile- Completed technical/business logistics education at HBO+ level or equivalent through knowledge and/or experience.
- Additional courses in logistics.
- Solid knowledge of logistics automation packages (warehouse management systems/transport management systems).
- Experience in financial management and budgeting.
- Knowledge in sales/account management/purchasing/HRM.
- Experienced leader/coach.
- Experience in project implementations and lean.
- Air cargo/security awareness.
- Oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English (possibly a second foreign language) required to communicate at all levels and for drafting reports and policy notes.
- Social skills required for maintaining deep internal and external contacts within all levels of the organization.
- Persuasiveness and negotiation skills for instructing, motivating, and correcting employees and for closing contracts with external parties.
- Analytical ability and vision to translate policy into practical matters and vice versa.
- Charismatic leader who initiates visible site‑wide actions to align managers at various levels in a certain direction.
